    Pros

The benefits are my favorite, and the people and culture my second favorite part of working at Sage! Five weeks paid time off is just fabulous!

    Cons

As a publicly traded company, we are subject to the whims of our shareholders and the management that aims to please them. Ultimately, we are all just resources without faces or value other than the bottom dollar.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Incompetence is too often rewarded. Loyalty begets loyalty.

I have been working at Sage North America

    Pros

    - Good work/life balance, relaxed atmosphere
    - Decent amount of vacation
    - Working with a few, intelligent co-workers

    Cons

    - Like most all large corporations, it is very top heavy
    - Very little recognition for those who put their head down and work, but those who brown-nose and know how to talk will receive it
    - Processes are very slow moving and mostly not defined
    - People have large budgets and spend a lot of money, yet they do not give their hard-working employees raises
    - Too many delegators and not enough do-ers
    - New employees coming in think they can change things or do things their way, but they will quickly find out it doesn't work that way
    - Conversely, lots of old-timers who have been there for decades and averse to change
    - Too many people using buzz words, hold lots of meetings, but nothing comes of it
    - Random lay-offs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Listen and recognize your best workers

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
