Global company with strengths in Europe
Hard working, bright employees
Great place to redefine self or change career trajectory
Investment in employee engagement
Truly care about customers and partners
Sharing or best practices globally and investment in employee training

Cons

You need to know the right people and have a champion
Salary is on the lower range of the comp ranges
Historically slow to divest dying products/lines of businesses
R&D innovation and execution is weak
Tightly managed budgets - little room for risks in spend

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep moving through your transitions, and keep growing internal staff at all levels. LISTEN to your employees - they will make or break you. Increase your R&D and PM/PMM talent, and invest not in next, but in after next. Keep up with the cross-pollination globally, best practice forums, and training.

    I have been working at Sage North America full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits and vacation time.

    Cons

    Very limited promotion potential and VERY few pay increases given annually. Annual bonuses are minimal. Top management seems to change every few years and takes the company down different paths according to what's HOT in the business world. If you are doing your job and working your butt off, you DON'T get an annual pay raise if you are in the middle of your pay scale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work on the pay raise part of your annual reviews or you will continue to lose valuable employees.

    Pros

    Learn about a lot of technology. Work will all kinds of computer systems.

    Cons

    They changed the name from technical support and lowered the wages. Call center had ridiculous expectations. People would get fired because they keep average handle time down to 15 mins or less. There were some racial issues I sow people that were not qualified get jobs on others.

    I sow very few people get advance from with in.
