    Pros

The discount The employees are often nicer The actual Clients The pay (unless your store is seasonal)

    Cons

Management belittles associates They will treat you as if you are incompetent No development Menial tasks and work Favoritism if full time- then you have NO Life due to hours and store events

    Advice to Management

Read How to Win Friends and Influence people. Just because you have experience doesn't mean you are capable of being an effective leader or manager

  2. Decent employee benefits like paid time off, but always a sense that they could care less about how successful you were.

    Pros

Commission based salary allowed for a really generous upside, but also a really horrible downside in paycheck amounts. It all depended on the shopping environment.

    Cons

Work-life balance was greatly affected by required weekend-work.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees more weekend days off as well as implementing some sort of cyclical system for allowing employees to have days after holidays off.
