I've worked for this company for 3 years, and it does not feel like it.

I have been working at Saks Fifth Avenue part-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Your coworkers are almost always nice. The discount for associates is also very generous.

Cons

The company overall does not respect time and effort put into your job. I have worked diligently for this company doing sales audits and anything else that you can think of inside the store that isnt management SPECIFIC. Having said that, I overstretch my responsibilities more frequently then not, and watch other 3 month associates getting double and triple my hours. I have sales awards, so I know its not my performance...

    Pros

Good discount, although you must use your saks credit card in order to receive it.

    Cons

Non-existent training- I had to research products in my own free time to have any idea what I was selling. Disinterested management that consistently understaffs in order to make their own bonus. A few employees make commission while the rest are expected to sell hundreds an hour with no incentive besides the barely over minimum wage pay. Immense pressure to sign people up for credit cards with a whopping $2 incentive. No insurance, no benefits. They will make sure you never work enough to qualify for those and hire you on a short hour basis so you will never accumulate time off.
