Saks Fifth Avenue – “Working for Saks sucks but the discount is ok.”

Pros

employee discount was 30% and when merchandise goes on sale you can get an even better savings for your dollar.
working around and with employees from different backgrounds you meet alot of people.

Cons

Saks is living off its golden era...... Senior management doesn't listen to there employees or the people working the floor. In order to move up within the company you have to be a "favorite" or know someone in that department . You will only make lateral moves within the company you'll never make it up the corporate ladder at saks. They will tell you what you want to hear but not do anything for you........

Advice to Senior Management

Management is old and outdated they need young fresh blood in there with crisp new ideas to reach the people but they are to set in their ways to let go of the reigns.
