Pros

The mission of t he company is fantastic and working for a company promoting conservative values and christian faith is nice The co-workers are great.

Cons

Very difficult for women and minorities to be promoted Very difficult to move up if you are not christian Pay is low, they would rather nickle and dime rather than pay what you are worth

Advice to Management

Make salaries fair (for both genders) and across race/background lines Open up managment and promote your hard workers, pay them fairly and they will stay with you. Vacation time needs to be reviewed...not getting an increase until year 7 is just crazy. Stop using favorites, truly you have some good people on staff, treat them with respect and equally. Someof your best employees are not christian, that doesn't mean they don't fit in.

    Pros

    1. Camaraderie and support 2. Unified sense of purpose 3. Small office environment, while focusing on and supporting nationwide staff

    Cons

    1. Ignorant senior management 2. Lack of information sharing between departments 3. Lack of organizational structure, such that career progress is desirable or possible

    Advice to Management

Perhaps perform a "deep dive" within the corporate office, instead of just the field locations. That way there will be a shared awareness of what needs to and can be done to accomplish initiatives handed down from the top.

  2. Hard & important work, with some organizational challenges

    Pros

As a media company serving a niche audience, it can be personally rewarding. There are also wonderful individuals at various levels throughout the organization.

    Cons

Dysfunction throughout the company emanates from corporate offices, and includes intra-company competition/conflict, horrible communication, declining industry, and toxic, frustrating, demotivating mixture of stated vision versus actual (or perceived) decisions and actions
