Company is as archaic as the stories its faith is based upon.

Pros

As expected with a company formulated around Christian values, there is a level of ethics and work-place morals that are applied. This would be a great envornment for people who are concerned with professional issues of that nature.

Cons

The station itself has an atrocious turn-over rate. The sales-cycle is expected to be around six months, yet they will terminate employees within four. Corporate is slashing benefits, and there is no longer any 401k matching programs. It is hard to keep track of the turnover of upper management, and the way they are always re-structuring sales strategies makes your head spin. Also, if you are not an "evangelical" believer, you should save yourself the inquisition.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tell corporate to figure out a stable model and STICK WITH IT. The understanding of the turnover at that place makes it feel like working in a graveyard...

    Pros

If you care about nothing more than giving to the lord, this is the job for you.

    Cons

Those interested in stability, promotions and real-world experiences should stay away. Most of the people here only work here because they can't find a job elsewhere.

    Pros

radio is a niche industry, enough experience can be used as good leverage in the long run, if not make a good career for yourself.. but it's a lot of politics.

    Cons

the management. they dont know how to manage the staff and the business in general. for a "christian radio company" they have a lot of upper-management employees who are good at belittlling others, they would twist the truth to their advantage, and would make quick decisions without considering all sides first. upper management can also be racist without them knowing.
