Pros

-Leading the market in could based technology
-Driven
-Takes very good care of it's employees
-Donates employee time to charity
-Employees for life program

Cons

-Getting that BIG business look and feel
-Jobs are becoming more silo'd
-Skill set is sometimes wasted on the mundane

Advice to ManagementAdvice

- Keep up the great work
- Remember everyone on your team can be rockstars if only given the chance

    Pros

    People are amazing, i have no regrets for the time i spent at the company and know the relationships i have from there will last forever

    Cons

    it has become a huge corporate giant, the ability to have a voice and be heard is gone, it used to be that you would work long hours and felt you were really contributing to something but by the time i left i felt like i was just a #, if you want to work for the next MSFT or Oracle then salesforce is the right place for you, if you want to innovate and grow in ways you never thought you could that ship has sailed at salesforce

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    People adore Marc but those who were there in days even earlier than when I was there feel he no longer has a handle on the culture, he is to far removed, which is sad. I think Marc is an amazing man but the companies obsession with growth has blinded them to what people really need. Big parties just don't cut it and as the SF market continues to thrive you will lack the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit as a company that people live and work for in this area.

    sales organization is a meat grinder, high attrition, unfair territory policies, poor mgmt

    Pros

    Great company from a technology perspective. Great internal use of that technology - they drink their own champagne. Smart people on the west coast.

    Cons

    attrition problem - great people leave
    lack of career ladder - mgmt is typically middle of the road IBM MSFT or ORCL folks that are trying to recreate those bloated enterprise firms.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    listen to employees, fire yourselves and hire inspired leaders, go back to bloated firm.
