Just Named the #1 most innovative company in the world two years running
CRM is top of mind of C-Level executives
We are #1 in this space and continue to introduce innovative products and business applications

Cons

Chicago is a new office for Salesforce.com. The company is trying hard to maintain a small company feel and culture but it is a challenge with over 8500 employees.

I worked at Salesforce.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good compensation, excellent location, and working from home is an option. As far as enterprise software goes, the company is in an exciting position.

    Cons

Lots of bad low-level managers. The company is bad for young people; prepare to get jerked around if you're wanting to grow and try new things. Far too much office politics, even in R&D. QA is a dead-end career path for technically-minded people, but management is in denial of this fact.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to individual career development. There's a reason your turnover is so high (hint: it's because all you're providing is a pay check).

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CA

I worked at Salesforce.com full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great compensation, energy and culture. Integrated philanthropy from day one of your job and most managers and teams encourage it throughout your career at the company. Powerful tool that's customizable and cutting edge. Always innovative and usually a safe space to take risks a be creative.

    Cons

Lots of ego and sometimes collaboration is a challenge. Decisions are made that sometimes don't seem logical and affect the success of individuals and teams.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your direct reports and put ego aside. Provide genuine growth opportunities for employees so they don't get stale in their roles.
