I have been working at Salvation Army full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Allows Christian non-profit professionals to earn a good living working for a faith-friendly cause. A lot of variety of service opportunities once you get your foot in the door.
Cons – As an organization that's been around for 100+ years, there is an overwhelming preference for the status quo (if it has never broken, don't fix it). There's also been a lot of mission creep: a lot of senior leaders within the organization don't have a clear idea of the strategic direction.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't be afraid to shrink down to a good fighting weight.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
