I have been working at Salvation Army full-time

Pros

Positive is working for help alot of people in unfortunate financial situations.

Cons –

Cons

The Salvation Army treats their employees like crap. They do not properly train any employees, they just care about the officers and themselves.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some training in management and common sense. Management lacks education, basic reading and writing skills, I had to show several people in upper management how to open their emails and save a word document and to hit a dame submit button on their computers.

I have been working at Salvation Army full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment. Good people. Good cause.

    Cons

You don't get paid a lot because it is non-profit and that can be hard. They also have very strict policies (understandably) but sometimes it's rather inflexible which can create tension.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be even more lenient when it comes to policies and create more flexibility around that. Create more career opportunities and raise wages.
