I worked at Salvation Army

Pros

They work for a good cause. If you believe in their cause, they are sincere. They help people.

Cons

If one is not religiously inclined, you may feel uncomfortable here, although the organization does not push that. The people are sincere.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect the administrative peoples who do work for you. There are the ones actually carrying out the work.

    I worked at Salvation Army

    Pros

There weren't very many positives to working for the salvation army. I guess the only positive for working for them was they help alot of people in unfortunate financial situations.

    Cons

The Salvation Army berates all of their employees and talks down to them. They do not properly train any employees either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to actually care about your employees. The lack of sensitivity creates a very hostile place of work. Every one should be treated fairly and management should not be talking about their issues with an employee to another employment.

    I worked at Salvation Army

    Pros

The compensation is relative high compared to other non for profit organizations. It has sufficient funding to run real projects.

    Cons

Work pace is low and not encouraging. Some bureaucracy within the organization. Not very innovative. Too many image building activities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I suggest the leaders think more carefully about the allocation and spending of money, as well as the ultimate mission of the organization.
