I worked at Sam's Club part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Fun, busy, upbeat environment. Hard work is rewarded, great team to work with, all in all scheduling is very flexible.

Cons

Long hours of standing on your feet, moderate to heavy lifting, must have strength to work set up. Compensation is low, but benefits are okay overall.

Advice to Management

more staff needed for busy weekend hours

I worked at Sam's Club full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Promote from within. Free membeship card.

    Cons

Raises and benefits have declined. Weekends are a must but managers seem to get weekends off when it is the busiest time and there are no managers present for member service. If you are friends with a manager you will do well. If not then you should be careful. Forcing associates to promote their programs when members see no benefit and all they do is end up getting mad at you. Not making your quota will get you coached out of your job.

    Advice to Management

Need to lead by example and not just say it... do it. Too much paperwork when it should be all submitted on computer. The trees you are killing just for Sanitation Logs are insane.
