I worked at Sam's Club full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

-constant guidance by managers (coaches) and lots of them, usually. -meetings to raise morale -open door policy meetings -small bonuses depending on Plus Membership numbers -good benefits

Cons

Low pay for hourly jobs, Costco has a higher minimum

Advice to Management

With open door policy, it's done in front of everyone, thus some people might not speak their mind. Hand out little notes to everyone, have them write a suggestion or something they think needs fixing and see how effective your open door policy becomes!

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Sam's Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Management really listens to you and tries to help you. Flexible scheduling and good hours. Pay above minimum wage.

    Cons

They are always moving items, so when members ask you where something is you lead them in the wrong direction. There is too much stress on renewals, plus upgrades, and credit. There is no such thing as a cashier anymore it seems. We are all pretty much sales associates.
