Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Miami Beach, FL

ProsGetting promoted is not to hard as long as you are smart and make good decisions. Pay is for a retail establishment. Assistant managers can make up to 60000, and some can get up to a 25% bonus.

ConsThe higher you move up, the more you feel threatened about your employment. As a ft or pt associate, you feel more secure.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore training for management. Trial by error is not the best way too learn. It's effective, but no body wants to learn that way.

Revolving door, low pay, don't care about associates promotion.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Chino, CA

I worked at Sam's Club full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: It was a good job for a short term basis. Keeps you on… Cons: They expect more out of you than you can finish in an 8 hour day. No overtime; you will get written up! No 401k matching,… Advice to Senior Management: Value your key employees, especially the older ones who outperform… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

    Poorly Managed

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Waco, TX

I worked at Sam's Club part-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Flexible hours for part-time employees. Great environment to learn how to work as part of a team. The pay is better than minimum wage… Cons: High workload, low pay, terribly managed from the top down. Not every store is the same but the Sam's club in Waco is a definite… Advice to Senior Management: Recognize, train, and encourage your high performing employees. Don't play… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
