Current Employee - Membership Services in Renton, WA
Current Employee - Membership Services in Renton, WA

I have been working at Sam's Club part-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Generally flexible hours, decent middle management, challenging work, non-union(possibly a pro or a con, depending on one's opinions of unions), free membership to Sam's Club(Normally $45), decent availability of cross training, good job security for skilled workers in non-seasonal jobs.

Cons

Management quality drops sharply during corporate visits, excessive focus on credit cards, questionable policies regarding unpaid merchandise reaching the exit doors, poor organization of stock and backstock, lack of availability of full time positions, conflicting schedules for cross department work.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

The closeness of co-workers!! The many different members you never know who you might meet!

    Cons

Communication most of the time is terrible, and you really have to wonder if your voice is heard!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at your promotional processes, your work should speak for itself too many political factors involved, and finally practice what u preach!!!
