I have been working at Sam's Club part-time for less than a year

Pros

Good discounts, nice facility, good time off

Cons

The employees seemed to be very unhappy

    I have been working at Sam's Club part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Typically pays above minimum wage
    Very solid managerial structure (gm, one manager per separate area)
    Hard work CAN translate into advancement

    Cons

    Corporate is out of touch with in store realities
    Almost impossible to get full time with out being a team lead
    Lack of consistency (high turn over among the 18-22yo age group)

    Stop letting personal cash flow hinder store operation. (serious hour cuts occurring right now)

    easy to get hired, work with scheduling issues

    Cons

    part time hours vary from 8 to 28 per week, no benefits until after a year, very little pay compared to the money each location makes, not what you know its who you know

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    pay more and the turnover rate wont be so high, give opportunities for advancement to all interested...look at all of the openings!
