Pros

Friendly environment, members are *generally* better than customers in most retail chains, benefits (insurance, stocks, etc) are much better than average with very low premiums, again, compared to other retailers, and with flexible hours it's a great place for a second income.

Cons

It's retail, so it'll be low wage unless you make salaried management; hourly management is a great jumping stone if you prove your worth; you will have to work weekends if you seek to move up; the company is downsizing because of poor decisions at Home Office and losing ground to Costco. Idiot Buyers make poor decisions - candy canes, anyone?

    Pros

10% discount on any fruits and veggies free membership work with some pretty down to earth people especially the older crowd.

    Cons

management is horrible you have to work your way up the chain of command with an issue and no one will listen either way they say "we hear your concern" but dont care

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees and talk to them. tell them what they need to know. If you cant hire someone for the department thats fine but dont say you cant then hire someone full time

  2. I enjoyed this job until the end
