I worked at Samsung Group full-time (more than a year)

Pros

- Competitive salary & benefits compared to other electronic companies in Korea.
- They try hard to introduce smart working culture.
- Looking good in your resume.

Cons

- It often demands for over time work which is pretty normal in S. Korea.
- The company is still hierarchical between groups of managers and associates.

I have been working at Samsung Group full-time

    Pros

Brand Name, compensation and job security

    Cons

    work culture
    work timings (no flexible time)
    ridiculous hierarchy.
totally useless and disorganised project management and project scheduling and resource management. more akin to a unorganised sector like rather than a large established branded company.
no growth for non koreans into top management. those positions are all reserved for koreans only.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

be more professional. this goldilocks period where you have hit the peak with samsung galaxy S might not lost long. before this even Apple with their iphone, Motorola with their Motorazr, Microsoft with their windows, IBM with their mainframes, sony with their walkman thought they had achieved business nirvana and gained invincibility and see what has happened to them now.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
