I worked at San Antonio

Pros

If you need a job, don't expect much in return and don't mind working in a dungeon. Some friendly co-workers.

Cons

Non competitive salary for IT. Puerile rules applied across the board for all "city workers". Elderly city manager worries about city workers drinking sugary beverages while facilities are crumbling. Outdated technology. Gossipy, back-biting IT management. You have to deal with a lot of "typical government worker" types.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some IT people to run IT. These guys have no idea what they are doing.

I worked at San Antonio part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Paycheck were always on time, holidays you always had off, could always count on getting exactly at end of shift

    Cons

Where do I start! Apathetic big wigs who treat us "little people" as mere machines. What little perqs I had at the start of my empliyment were steadily chipped away in an effort to do as little as humanely possibly forbtheirbemloyees, in particular the Part Timers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please hire people that can actually pass as a marginally decent human being that don't treat their subordinates like garbage.
