I worked at San Jose State full-time

    Pros

My skills were needed, and most of the people were receptive, but one co-worker made them leery of working with me.

    Cons

People were entrenched in their jobs and couldn't envision any changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the sick person who intimidates everyone and makes working there extremely unpleasant.

I have been working at San Jose State part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great people, from administrative staff to management. Transparent and respectful communications ethos. Highly diverse student population.

    Cons

. . . transparent except for the benefits people. Look into health plans and read the fine print so you know what you are getting into.
Pay rate is not up to Bay Area living expenses and commuting tends to be problematic with an overburdened freeway system (especially 880)

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
