Good CEO who cares about the company
Cons
Company has become very big and political. Too many VPs, Directors and Managers care more about building up their own organizations than about the company. Decisions about hiring and direction are made inexplicably. My own group, for instance, has seen 3-4 reorgs in the past 1.5 years.
Advice to Senior Management
Build a good system within SanDisk for producing leaders. Do not hire people in top positions from outside the company, since they are unknown and many times do not fit in. The number of newly hired executives who have not worked out has reached alarming proportions.
