Pros
Good bonus scheme (including stocks) and salary. Other benefits are also good (e.g. health coverage).
Cons
Very tactical, short-term focus. As a result, priorities change on an overly frequent basis and most work appears throw-away with little opportunity for re-use. There is no focus on a long term strategy in terms of either a business model or IT services to support it.
Advice to Senior Management
You need to put some focus on enterprise-wide strategies e.g. the same toolsets, methodologies and practices across all engineering groups. The focus on SAP will provide minimal (at best) benefits to the business. Refocusing on SanDisk's core competencies (technical innovation), stepping away from retail sales and content (primarily music), would probably be a good move. A large-scale ERP system will not help that.
