I worked at Sandvik full-time

Pros

Great atmosphere. Employer friendly and concerned. Good place for individuals who want to progress step by step. Efficient training programs with opportunity for international travel and exposure to the culture of a truly global organization.

Cons

Not suitable for individuals who enjoy a VERY challenging role to achieve personal development. Global structure and hierarchy model results in slow decision making and implementation of matters like resource disbursal.

I have been working at Sandvik full-time

    Pros

At the working level, the employees are great. Nice facilities. Good computer system including robust company Intranet site.

    Cons

Very top heavy with white male managers. Little to no female and minority managers, except in token jobs like HR

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually read the Sandvik Core Values and then do you job with those values in mind. Your employees are not stupid. Fair Play, Team Spirit, One Sandvik. Those are just words on a bulletin board unless management at the top actually ACTS out those values.
