Pros

Market leader in anti-platelet, anti-thrombotic, and diabetes disease states.

Cons

Joint venture co-promotions often lead to 'too many coaches on the sidelines' and convoluted 'game plans' for success. Annual field staffing/realignment efforts routinely negatively affecting sales professionals morale. Very mature product portfolio, impending patent cliffs for several 'blockbusters', failed new molecule development.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow field level management increased levels of autonomy for developing sales initiatives/direction that are specific to and more readily adaptable to local market conditions.

    Broad revenue base from multiple revenue channels - all within healthcare

    Cons

    New leadership from Glaxo and working to "gut" the company of the old leadership and build a new leadership team. Very poor R&D so pipeline continues to disappoint.

    Be sure to know how long the person you are working with has been with the company
