Great working environment, but major company transitions handled poorly by senior management.

Former Contractor - Anonymous Contractor in Malvern, PA

I worked at Sanofi US as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

Worked in Malvern location before regional offices closed and moved to Bridgewater. Great working environment with hardworking staff and managers who were as committed to the company project deliverables as they were to maintaining staff morale. A rare thing to find in the corporate world.

Cons

Upper management did not deal with several company transitions well, including move to Bridgewater. Process was unorganized and did little to ease concerns of office staff during tumultuous time. Employee satisfaction and morale seemed less and less a priority as more company changes came down the line.

Advice to Management

Make staff morale a more prominent priority in future company decisions. This will improve productivity, which is what any pharmaceutical company needs to maintain and/or increase right now.

I worked at Sanofi US full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great compensation package when you consider the car, gas, bonuses, trips, and 401k match dollar for dollar. As well as the 4 weeks paid vacation with a company shut-down during Christmas and New Years. Some managers really care about their employees. Good team morale at times.

    Cons

A lot of micro-managing from upper level management Job security is nonexistent which causes additional stress Layoffs were done the week of Thanksgiving! Laying off employees during the holidays is inconsiderate and overwhelming. The products available now are not as strong as previous years. The blockbusters are gone to generics Limited budgets to promote with in-office lunches, etc. Limited room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Stop micro-managing. Reduce the sales force to a reasonable size so layoffs can stop happening annually.
