Former Employee - Adjunct Instructor  in  Santa Barbara, CA
Former Employee - Adjunct Instructor in Santa Barbara, CA

I worked at Santa Barbara City College part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Diverse staff and student body, opportunities for continuous learning, beautiful campus, many course options and students activities. Experienced, well-educated staff, many with creative teaching methods.

Cons

Expensive to live in Santa Barbara, difficult to obtain full-time employment (especially if moving from outside of the Santa Barbara area),

Advice to ManagementAdvice

SBCC could do more to partner with other schools and programs, should look to develop more of its adjunct staff into full-time employees.

I worked at Santa Barbara City College

    Pros

Its an easy job that you can manage other activities such as classes. Theres not much room to move up and there are no benefits but the wages are fair considering you start as an intern.

    Cons

Theres not much room to move up and there are no benefits. Some managers are great but some can get caught up in the little thing. A bit nit picky. Also if you were to move up it would be to replace ur boss. So there's not much room to move up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
