Pros

If you are looking for a fast-pace environment, with tons of opportunity - this is the place! SCUSA prides itself on innovative solutions and taking the business to the next level; incredible growth projections on the horizon.

Cons

Not a place for the weak-hearted or those looking for the standard 8 to 5 job. Can appear to be chaotic, especially for those who struggle with constant changes.

Advice to Management

More communication.

    Pros

Part of Banco Santander which is one of the biggest banks in the world, Santander Consumer USA has grown tremendously over the past 13 years. Recent announcements have propelled the company into the spotlight.

    Cons

Unstable working atmosphere and promotions are unfair. With the constantly changing dynamic of the company, employees are often shifted from departments and quickly asked to learn new systems and protocols which breeds high turnover. Promotions are usually offered to people who are favored. Most positions are often filled before being posted online to internal employees. Employees are often upset by this.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and prevent border line unethical hiring practices.

    Pros

If you like fast paced environments this is ideal There are some very smart and dedicated people here

    Cons

The application development teams pretend to run agile/scrum, but there is a complete lack of organization and direction from the business. Things change on almost a daily basis. Application Development talks about standards but is burdened with an outdated, legacy code base, and there is never time to re-factor and fix it so performance continually degrades and delivering new functionality is very difficult. The location is in a bad part of town

    Advice to Management

The CEO thinks up ideas for entirely new product lines, signs contracts, and then tells IT they need to have it up and running in 1-2 months. Nobody in the management chain is willing to tell him no. My advice to management would be to set realistic expectations with senior management, then set realistic and achievable goals for the employees. Don't commit to things, work everyone to death and at the last minute change direction
