I have been working at Sapient Global Markets full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Gud culture, variety of opportunities, international work experience, strong aggressive culture, good benefits n transport facility, good support for women

Cons

Apprisls and remuneration I feel is the only con..

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too much focus on feedback ..management less structured abt feedback.. They forget months of smooth work and focus on shooting stars that take away credit in d last minute..
Oppotunities in longer projects and accounts purely based on relationships to the extent that low profile hard workers are left behind in the rat race.

Current Employee - Senior Associate in Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I have been working at Sapient Global Markets full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

good transport facility at a reasonable price in busy NCR region.
most SA level employees come and leave on time.
ample onsite opportunities to US, UK.
lots of in house activities and fun filled events to make one feel happy.
some good initiatives like vox to keep people connected with sapient and develop in house knowledge base.

    Cons

once you are working in a client account, sapient is reduced to a body shopping firm.
an employee at the client side feels detached from sapient culture and ethos as client overrides everything.
individual preferences of long term onsites are entertained than long term client/account interests, which effectively leads to high cost to the client.
staffing doesn't share the job description to the candidate during nomination.
staffing doesn't put across all available options as per your skills.
has developed a culture of rewarding with onsite if you threaten to quit.
has an ineffective and small capabilities team.
could not convert bigger accounts into managed services model.
last min changes in company wide policy makes an employee feel ill treated.
the salary and designation band structure is completely disoriented with AL2 earning more than SAL2

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher management should take necessary actions to make sapient a truly offshore development center with highly skilled and motivated people leading the capabilities team.
Should streamline the salary band and designations.
Should act in long term interest of client rather than "as long as it works" attitude.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
