Pros

Collaborative work environment, recognition opportunities are endless

Cons

Have heard salary is not as high as other companies, but work/life balance and environment make up for that

Advice to Management

Provide alternative to the typical up or out promotion model.

    Pros

Meeting employees from other cities made me want to work with them. Everyone at HQ is accessible and a resource to the team from the bottom up.

    Cons

My home office was not the same as the dynamic elsewhere. The director was disconnected from the team and did not clearly plan a strategy for our service. The managers were up and down with their moods and demanded projects beyond the retainer, poorly mismanaged time allocations, expected us to stay significantly later than the rest of the office, deadlines were usually COB or EOD tomorrow. It was impossible to ideate, delivery work that was schedule, and stay on the forefront of the industry with only 10 working hours a day. Being honest about what you could turn around quickly and what had to be pushed back made you a target for a bad mood attitude.

    Advice to Management

Where to begin...you have great employees but misdirected leadership that is not leading or abusing your idea engineers.

    Pros

Very smart and creative people to work with
    Work/Life Balance
Exposure to other cultures - especially India
    Management team fairly stable

    Cons

Takes a long time to get things done because too many people are involved
Open seating work environment too close for comfort
    Very political
    Too many meetings
    Advancement is a popularity contest
Understanding the culture is difficult if you are hired from outside and nobody helps you navigate it.

    Advice to Management

The 360 feedback environment is not managed well and results in a highly political environment where people spend too much time promoting themselves when they should focus on their work. Let middle managers manage and make decisions - too many step down meetings where people are encouraged to throw their manager under the bus.
