Strong company dedicated to delivering for clients, not for internal employees.

I worked at Sapient full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment where new technology is readily available. Options to telecommute for most people.

    Cons

Expectations that you work upwards of 60 hours per week, every week - easily acheivable by 'watching the sun' and coordinating with teams around the globe. Below market rate wages, always softened with the promise of training and telecommuting (which is pretty standard fare at many employers). If team members leave and you assume their responsibility, don't expect a back fill - you will be doing all jobs - even if it is a higher title, you will be forced to step up (not a bad thing) but will reap no rewards (nominal compensation increases).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would try and align people growth and compensation to industry and geographic standards. Seems that more focus is placed on 'doing more with less' than retaining top flight talent to truly deliver amazing work.

At this company you'll grow. But in order to grow, you'll very nearly kill yourself.

    Pros

If you work well and have a good attitude, you will grow very fast. The projects are technically challenging and you can, a lot of times choose what you want to do.

    Cons

The projects are in a firefighting mode from the day one. You will always be working overtime. Working 10 hours a day has almost become a norm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop saying yes to everything the client says.
