Pros

Flat structure and ability to make an immediate impact. If you believe in your abilities and are not afraid to take some risks, the short term payoff can be excellent. Sapient rewards it's top performers with real responsibility which allows for immediate growth. There are some great mentors at this company as well.

Cons

There is a somewhat disorganized infrastructure due to intense short term growth. The benefits could be more competitive. Communication channels can be challenging with company growth as well. There should be more investment in infrastructure as well to make sure that people can do their jobs easily and focus on clients.

Good for tech experience in large projects, bad work life balance

    Pros

If you want to work for big clients, in a cut throat environment, try Sapient. Its a very good experience. The kind of skills that are picked up in the environment at Sapient are not what you'd find in a smaller company. I am talking of their e-commerce practice (not business consulting or TRM - even though trade risk management/finance is a big chunk).
Some of the people are extremely smart and it really is a pleasure to work with them. You end up learning so much if you keep your eyes and ears open.

    Cons

They have an average pay scale compared to the market. Definitely not the top (or bottom) payers. Very hectic environment. Being a consulting firm you may have to travel a lot. Some people in the upper management are cut throat and will be out to ruin your career. But then this is common to all the consulting firms out there (at least the big ones). Plus they don't pay for your lunch! Its the strangest thing. When you travel, the lunch is not billable. You can expense breakfast and dinner but not lunch. Its strange and gets to be annoying after a while :) A minor thing but it nags.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open. Politicking has a way of creeping out and affecting morale. Some senior management is good and smart, some is mean and smart. Try getting rid of the mean dudes.

    Pros

Sapient is very flexible when it some to your work schedule, if you need to work from home for whatever reason you are allowed to do that. Also, compared to other jobs in Miami, Sapient pays rather highly. The culture of the people is very diverse, and its kind of like a family.

    Cons

I find the advertising industry to be very stressing, with high valued placements, picky clients, and insane turn around times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To take more time to go over with their team their strengths and weaknesses
