Pros

Above average salary, sink or swim philosophy provides access to responsibilities and work experience that might take years to gain at another company.

Cons

Bottom-dollar company- will staff projects with inexperienced people in order to save a buck. Cuts corners on quality. No emphasis on retaining good quality employees or long tenure. Do not respect employee rights to take vacation days. Safety meetings held for half a day on Saturdays. Mandatory attendance required. Everything is a fire drill at this company.

Advice to Management

Re-evaluate your approach to employer/employee relationships. Understand that corners cut = bad reputation within industry. Respect time off and family needs. Just because upper management isn't geared toward family life doesn't mean everyone should sacrifice to such a degree.

    Pros

    Good room for advancement, small emerging company, big into technology, decent base pay in line with other companies,

    Cons

    In the New Orleans office they do not use the company technology, the room for advancement is based off the turnover rate. They do not match 401k, no bonus program. They have tried to set up trainings, but it is not followed through on. No raises in the last two years, first year, no review, second year reviews completed but no feed back given so you know what to work on for the year. Chain of command is confusing at best, assisted by at least 5 VPs running the business unit. No value for employees personal lives. Understand this business has some crazy hours, but calling employees at 9:00pm is not a good idea unless an emergency.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the employees that are leaving, there is a reason that so many good ones are leaving and are looking to leave. Value employees personal lives.
