Former Employee - Advanced ITC Instructor in Dhahran (Saudi Arabia)

I worked at Saudi Aramco full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great salary, many benefits for regular employees, but not for contractors

Cons

No benefits for contractors, they work you EXTREMELY hard, preferences and recognition mostly for saudis, many of whom don't actually work that hard, expats are not appreciated or recognized for their work, professional and social discrimination

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need a fairer system to recognize and reward employees, professional contractors should be allowed to use the library

I worked at Saudi Aramco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

This company extends very lucrative benefits designed to attract expatriate to stay. It supports unlimited opportunities as it offers in-house seminars related to my work. It also offered very commensurate salaries. It supports extensive educational benefits. I will recommend this company to anyone interested any time.

    Cons

The only drawback I saw in my tenure with this company was the distance from my home. It pulled me away from my family as I was away from them at least 11 months every year. I also considered difference in culture & tradition as a deterrent to working in this country.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For deserving, generous salary offers will attract expatriates to stay longer.
