Good learning experience, but tons of fiery hoops to jump through to get things done.

Project Manager (Former Employee)
Jersey City, NJ

I worked at Savvis

ProsGood exposure to infrastructure technologies, beginning and advanced training, very capable resources to work with, 24/7 staff (NOC) very reliable.

ConsManagement cares more about bottom line than staff. Lot of directors are workaholics and expect same from subordinates. Systems from various acquisitions were never integrated, so it takes lots of time/effort to get anything done.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade internal systems. Keep expectations of staff high, but also cut staff slack (we work hard and long hours). Promoting talented people who lack management skills greatly hinders workplace satisfaction. Too many directors, too many hoops to jump through to get anything done.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
