I have been working at Schaumburg Park District
Pros – The fellow workers and customers are great.
Who wouldn't like being on court and getting paid for it!
It's a great part time job for high school/college students.
The facility has good exercise equipment, a pool, and jacuzzi.
Cons – The tennis side of the club is run by another company so the tennis revenue is divided 3 ways: The tennis contractor, the park district, and the tennis employee. The tennis employee gets the scraps.
A lot of Tennis Pro turnover in the last 5 years.
No insurance, retirement, or paid days off.
Advice to Senior Management – Manage the tennis side of the club and take out the middle man.
