Pros
The people in your group, direct management tends to very supportive. They focus on potential and upward growth.
Cons
HR. HR is not supportive and only looking out for dollars not people. HR is hard to trust and will not look out for the best interested in of the people they “support.” They only care about showing the CEO how they saved, even if it negatively effects a department or person.
Advice to Senior Management
They need to empower the organization. Stop approving every $5 invoice and start worry about the bigger picture. If they work for you trust them to do the right thing, if you don’t trust them they should not work for you. There are better ways to manage control then taking it all way.
