Arrogant, Failure to communicate and listen, "european" attitude of not my job

    Vice President (Former Employee)
    Houston, TX

    I worked at Schlumberger

Pros: Worlds largest oilfield service co Opportunity (expectation) to work internationally Systems and processes exist… Cons: Middle level managers do not listen. They have adopted manage by objectives reward system slp3, but there is disconnect between goals and value, implementation, resources,… Advice to Senior Management: Honestly asses your mid level managers for real leadership abilities, train or fire where large gaps exist. Compensate more… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

One of the worst decisions I have ever made

    Field Engineer (Current Employee)
    Oklahoma City, OK

I have been working at Schlumberger

Pros: The only good thing about working here is compensation. Even though your base salary will be around 60 K you receive bonuses for each day… Cons: They literally run your life 344 days of the year. You don't get weekends or holidays, the only actual time off (defined as time you… Advice to Senior Management: You can have the slogan "people technology profit" and then not care about your people… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
