SLB is committed to personal development of its employees. They also have a very high quality HSE program, valuing the safety of their employees.

Cons

It is a large bureaucratic organization like any other - getting anything done requires a committee. As an engineering company, they sometimes focus too much on the process and not enough on the results.

Advice to Senior Management

Learn to be more agile in the processes that are used to accomplish the work. While standard processes make it easier to transfer people from one department to another, it does not always guarantee the most efficient approach to performing a specific task.
