    Cons

    -long hours
    -ZERO schedule
-good luck getting time off at Christmas
    -So many rules

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting worthless people who couldn't hack it in the field. If they are losing you money in the field they are surely losing money when they are billing to overhead.

Former Employee - Field Engineer in Laredo, TX

I worked at Schlumberger full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Great training
    emphasis on safety
    opportunities for promotion and growth

    Cons

    Extremely political
Management changes every couple of years so you wind up with people who have no idea what they're doing and by the time they do they're moved elsewhere.
Promise of growth and a variety of positions but those are limited to either sales or operations.
Strong emphasis on culture but it's beat down by all the politics

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your own rules and regulations. CEO wants you to follow the accountability matrix so why don't you?
