Pros

The benefit and compensation program are pretty good.

Cons

Poor management.
The manager don't really know his employees, many guys got promoted very quickly and are not capable of doing the job.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible opportunities to work remotely. If you want to provide little to no positive impact and work with minimal effort just to get by...this is the place for you.

    Cons

Unfortunately, "It's a job" is a commonly heard sentence here (Alpharetta, GA location). The office enviornment tends to be stale. Citect was acquired by Schneider several years ago and there are still several people from the core group that are tightly knit and resistant to go through the necessary motions to restructure themselves. A good chunk of the staff is composed of Contractors and let's just say that if it were legal to make them use separate restroom facilities - they would. Opportunities to train and learn are scarce, even if you are persistent. Upper level management is non-existent within this location (the Director of Bus. Ops. is the highest level body that shows up on a regular basis). Good management skills and leadership are considerably lacking. The desire that drives company growth (aka caring about the quality of work you put out, investing in good employees, and understanding that your job exists for the betterment of the company) is nowhere to be found.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Internal analysis to measure the satisfaction of the overall staff is needed and improvements need to be tracked. Intervention from executive management to improve the fabric within the office culture is the only fix for this place, sadly. The initiative to make this happen won't come from the existing management residents.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for less than a year

    Pros

good at hiring people with similar personalities, decent pay, great vacation time, and good opportunity for promotion.

    Cons

training process was long and not productive, does not keep up with technology, and too many different programs for simple things.
