Pros

Decent family-life balance. Co-workers are awesome. Cafeteria is excellent.

Cons

HR is completely incompetent. Way too much nepotism in this company. Compensation and benefits used to be excellent (when they were APC), now they are substandard.

Advice to Management

The HR department needs a complete overhaul. In nearly 10 years, I have yet to come across anyone in that department who could answer a simple question correctly.

    Pros

Schneider Electric has a great culture, great benefits, and serves a wide variety of energy needs. It is a great place to work if you want to be in the energy field as you can move throughout the company into different areas of energy.

    Cons

Salary is below average, the many acquisitions Schneider has made haven't necessarily been smooth and it is easy to feel "trapped" within your specific division. There is room for advancement if you're proactive and search via Schneider's website but depending on your division you're only likely to go so far by your hard work.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on career development and keeping employees engaged and excited about their opportunities int he future.
