I have been working at Schneider Electric

Pros

If you are just starting out in the industry Schneider Electric is a good place to start. Most departments have a teaching environment. The more experienced engineers will take time to explain things in detail to help you understand the job. Employee retention is good as well. There is a large number of employees with 10 or more years.

Cons

The pay is not competitive and not until recently Schneider did not recognize individuals for their hard work or going the extra mile. There are several areas, Application Engineering being one of them, within the company where the career path is very limited.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Creating career paths within the engineering segment of the company will help the morale of the engineers. Also, create definitive metrics to gauge the performance of the employees. Too many of the metrics are subjective.

I have been working at Schneider Electric

    Pros

You are given every opportunity to succeed, at least in my department, as long as you are willing to take ownership of your career. The people are passionate and really care about one another. The focus on energy is present in every aspect of the business.

    Cons

The process of bringing all the separate entities together as one is somewhat complicated and takes a lot of time. Systems are still not all together, with some employees on Outlook and most others on Lotus Notes. Those on Notes don't like it and those on Outlook don't want it, but it seems inevitable that is the system of choice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue your efforts listening to employee feedback. You have great ideas and a strong vision, make that more clear internally. Continually seek improvement for training new managers; some are incredibly skilled at leading their teams, while others have good intentions, but do not have all the skills yet. Continue building the Schneider Electric brand internally and externally.

I have been working at Schneider Electric

    Pros

it is a Good pay master, Gives good exposure and lot of freedom to work with. It gives exposure even outside country

    Cons

Pathetic employer for support functions, benefits are very less. also shows very improper communication. the top management is immature and not sincere about employees, they tries to create an aura of good things but in reality very less things are done. Not at all internal customer focus. I would call a huge fortune 400 organization but with absolutely zero process orientation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pls think to the basics and try to focus on small but effective things rather then doing a plethora of things and not achieving one.
