I have been working at Schneider Electric

    Pros

Great benefits and 401k matching; great people to work with (at equal levels); company does well enough financially, even in midst of economic downturn, love to supply its employees with shirts; pay is not exactly competitive but not the worst, plenty of opportunities to be involved in the community.

    Cons

No clear guidance when looking to advance in the company; extreme amount of office politics involved; preferential treatment given to particular groups, especially sales office; pay not nationally competitive, workload to employee ratio could be better; feeling that upper management (VPs, Managers, etc.) is disconnected from rest of company, no understanding of what its employees really do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more involved with those reporting to you, gain a better understanding of what work is performed (good or bad) at 'lower' levels. Also, offer more advice in regards to employees actively looking to advance in the company.

    Approves of CEO
