I worked at Schneider

Pros

Large company and job security..

Cons

Managment is horrible. You have a Shop manager, shop supervisor, shift leader, team leader, and tire champion which all of them are your bosses.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce number of leaders. and promote adequate people instead of friends..

    I worked at Schneider

    Pros

Treated like family, Good Training program, Safety comes first, will help you find ways to fix whatever problem may arise.

    Cons

Seem to change things too often. For the older senior drivers harder to keep up with all the new tech.,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to the old quite drivers, the ones that just take everything in stride and get it done.,, and don"t complain.

I have been working at Schneider

    Pros

People are very nice. It is a large company, so there are lots of different opportunities.

    Cons

Bad performance is not always addressed, so stronger performers pull the weight of others. People seem to be let go frequently. Hopefully it is the weaker performers... Being appropriately critical when making decisions is not welcomed. Change seems to be made just for change's sake, without doing a good assessment of the costs and benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Connect with your employees like Don did. Or, if you are purposely trying to change the culture, be open about it.
