I worked at School District U-46 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunities to transfer between schools in special ed positions. Staff was mostly friendly. Variety of students to work with.

    Cons

Considerable lack support from supervisors in special ed program. In fact the supervisor seemed to be extremely overloaded and overworked. No mentoring for the “lesser” positions. Staff outside of special ed seemed clicky and judgey.

I worked at School District U-46 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working for a school district where every ones' goal is to assist children succeed academically is great in theory; however, that is not the case in U46

    Cons

The reality is the union personal rule the school system. Unions are similar to gangs; you pay dues and your bullied.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Non-union officials need to listen to union members filling complaints.
Personal sitting in high ranking positions need to lead by example.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
