Pros

1. They hire frequently 2. Commission to be had by all who earn it 3. Good group of personable characters working there

Cons

1. Weekly shifts in product focus. 2. Management not familiar with local demographics 3. 60-75 hour work weeks. The salary is a joke if your depot does not hit its sales metrics 4. Working every weekend if depot is tanking 5. Frequently peel off Builder customers to replace with lost customers on actual routes 6. Local ordinances preventing you from legally selling in all markets 7. It's D-2-D, not B-2-B.

Advice to Management

The rotating news at the door promos are a joke. Who wants or would even consider buying items that are out of season? It's one thing to release a new product and have it be pushed to gauge it's reception and plausible life cycle, it's entirely another to REQUIRE it to be sold in set quantities. Due to this requirement, all CSMs lean on legacy customers to buy additional to make up for all the shortfall.

    Pros

Employee engagement, flexible work environment, commitment to excellence and resources allocated to drive success.

    Cons

Can't stress enough the importance of networking, networking and more networking with people lateral to yourself in leadership roles as well as equally if not more so with all persons in roles senior to yourself. This certainly helps with ensuring your relevance in the organization and the value-add you are attempting to deliver each day.

    Pros

If you have a clean driving record they will give you a chance They supply uniforms and have benefits

    Cons

Long hours 14 hour on the clock (up to) benefits not great. very high deductible and premium for medical to make up for holidays off you will have to work weekends and days off before and after the holiday (I worked almost every weekend between Thanksgiving and New Years) Management style is very abusive verbally handheld computers and equipment very old and unreliable. no matter what they say 80-90% of route days you will work 10-14 hours a day with pay between $100-120. A few days you will get between $200 plus a day. I was on vacation and they (Schwan's call center) called me up with complaints on my fill in person. Sometimes its hard to get days off when sick.

    Advice to Management

If you push employees enough they will leave.
