I worked at Scientific Drilling

Pros

There is huge room for advancement. Nobody can hack it there because you work 300+ days a year. THey dont pay all that well as compared to other service companies. Spend a few years there and then bounce. They are so short handed, it is unreal.

Cons

No life, no time off.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your guys some set time off.

I worked at Scientific Drilling full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great work, lots of travel, were very loyal to staff (Minimal lay offs during down turn). Whilst behind SLB, Baker etc... in terms of technology it is progressing rapidly and should present aggressive and capable competition to lower budget operations e.g. land-based operations.

    Cons

Lot of time away, short notice. Poor pay scaling system. Slight uncertainty among staff as to the longer term future but things do currently look good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Good work.
