I have been working at Scottrade full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Good people to work with and still has that small company feel even though it keeps growing. 401k contribution is really good, and you also get good employee perks for other services Scottrade offers.

Cons

Doesn't pay well compared to what the market median would offer. Bonuses were good a few years ago but have shrank considerably.

I have been working at Scottrade as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

As far as balance with school work, I don't think it can get better in the St. Louis area than an internship with Scottrade. I got exposed to Microsoft development technology and was able to market those skills to potential full-time employers. Projects got significantly more interesting as time went on.

    Cons

Many projects were quite dull at times, and it was easy to lose interest.
