Former Employee - Intern

I worked at Scottrade as an intern (more than an year)

Pros

The manager was nice and worked around my schedule. The manager also bought us lunch quite frequently. They hire most of their interns as stock brokers upon graduation so if you want to become a broker, this is a good place to start.

Cons

The work was very boring sometimes. In fact, I spent hours not doing anything at all! I did get paid for it though, so I can't complain too much.

I worked at Scottrade full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

There were no pros. But the was quite good.

    Cons

You are in a branch and can be evaluated by the Branch Manager with no input from anyone else. If you are in a difficult situation you should be given an opportunity to discuss this with someone else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Conduct Exit Interviews. You could learn something about your company. You also need to contact branch employees to get their views about the situation
